Confessions Relating to Self Denial

I desire to come after Jesus, and therefore I must deny myself, and take up my cross and follow Jesus. # Mt 16.24

I do not desire to save my own self-life.

I lose my soul-life for Jesus and will find it. # Mt 16.25

I am not ashamed of Jesus nor His Words. # Mk 8.38

Jesus says, "Let Michael deny himself." # Lk 9.23

I must take up my cross DAILY. # Lk 9.23

I must run the race in such a way as to receive the prize. I must run as if only one person in this world will receive the prize. I want to receive the prize of an eternal crown. # 1Cor 9.24

I am temperate in all things. # 1Cor 9.25

I run not with uncertainty. I fight not as one who beats the air. # 1Cor 9.26

I must and do discipline my body and bring it into subjection. This I do so as not to be unfit or disqualified for God's greater works. # 1Cor 9.27

I always strive to have a conscience without offense towards God and men. # Acts 24.16

My light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while I do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.
